How to Be a Winner Always and Never Quit
winners never quit and quitters never win
We have heard it said never give up and never give in. There may be 100 reasons why you may want to quit and throw in the towel, as it were. The normal human tendency is to give up easily in the face of adverse circumstances
But in the midst of all the clamor and voices in your head, which want you to give up, you hear a still small voice in your heart which speaks reassuringly to you and says,” Hey, you are a masterpiece. You are unique. You are made for greatness. This is not the time to give up. Keep going on. The destination is near. Go for it.”
Which voice will you hear? The confusing voices ringing in your head or the peaceful, calm voice whispering in your heart?
The choice is yours but I want to share 15 inspiring thoughts with you to help you make the right decision.
1. The greatest thing is not falling, but rising up every time we fall
As human beings, failure is inevitable. But that is not the end of the world. The greatest thing is to get up again. Dust ourselves and move on. This process should be repeated until you have reached your destination.
2. You never lose. You either win or learn
Don’t talk about losses or failures. There is no such thing as losing.
You either win or you learn a lesson. You should treat failures as lessons. Learn from your lessons and don’t repeat the same mistakes again.
3. You must be intensely focused on the goals, not on the obstacles
What you focus on, you will empower. So instead of focussing on the obstacles and contrary circumstances, focus on the end goal.
This will make it easier for you to keep going without any hindrance.
Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.
Earl Nightingale
4. Perseverance and determination are needed to accomplish anything
Perseverance is the ability to keep going forward disregarding the negatives of life. Determination is defined as the firmness of purpose. Both these qualities are needed to accomplish goals.
5. Patience and passion should be the hallmarks of your endeavor
Patience is defined as the ability to tolerate delay, problems or sufferings without being annoyed or anxious.
Patience is absolutely necessary in order to reach your goals or destination.
Along with patience, passion is also necessary in order to achieve our goals. Passion gives us the extra adrenalin flow to move towards our goals rapidly.
6. Winners never quit and quitters never win
Winners have a never say die attitude which conquers every obstacle in its way.
If you quit, you will never reach your goal. But if you have the quality of a winner, you are sure of achieving your goals sooner or later.
7. Everything seems impossible until it’s done
Someone has rightly said that everything seems impossible until it’s done. The meaning of this statement is that every task seems unattainable until it is actually done.
Then you can look back and see how easy it was to finish the task.
So the task may look very difficult to finish in the beginning but once you start doing it they become easier and easier as time goes by.
So the secret here is to start small, but start nevertheless.
8. There is no failure as long as you are trying
There is no such thing as failure as long as you are working, trying and slogging in order to achieve your goals.
What people may call failure is actually just an attempt that did not work.
That, however, does not mean that you are a failure. It does mean that you tried and that you are trying and that one day you will surely succeed.
Always remember failure is not an act it’s an attitude.
9. Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.
There are hundreds of stories of people who failed many times but did not give up and eventually they were highly successful and became world-famous.
Thomas Alva Edison was one scientist who discovered light but in the process, he failed over and over again but he never give up and today the whole world is blessed by his invention of the light bulb its various forms.
Never give up for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn
Harriet Beecher Stowe
10. If you fail even after trying it doesn’t matter
Try again. You may fall again but ultimately you will win.
You have not really failed. You have just found many ways that it won’t work.
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time
Thomas Edison
11. It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop
Do you remember the famous story which we all heard as small kids in schools? Yes, the story of the tortoise and the rabbit.
Now, the tortoise is one of the slowest animals on planet Earth and rabbits are very fast.
In the story, we see how the rabbit was overconfident and the tortoise was slow but determined to go towards the finish line and the end of the story is that the tortoise wins.
The moral of the story is that keep doing what you need to do, keep going forward without looking back and one day you will accomplish your goals.
12. If you happen to slow down, run faster
Never give up or surrender but keep going against all odds.
Survival can be summed up in three words — never give up. That’s the heart of it really. Just keep trying. The rules of survival never change whether you are in a desert or in an arena.
Bear Grylls
13. Successful men and women keep moving
They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.
14. Let setbacks make you stronger, not weaker
The decision is yours.
The same water that hardens an egg, softens a potato. It's not about your circumstances. It's about what you are made of.
What will you be?
15. Always have an attitude of looking forward not looking backward.
The past is gone. It cannot be undone and it cannot be changed.
So look forward with hope and look forward with faith. You will reach your destination sooner or later.
